Bear with me here as I type in a room that is hot with no air...the joys of no air conditioning in the summer, but I was requested to do this by a few as soon as possible. Can't let my fans down now, can I?
For starters, the show wasn't as great as the previous show...but it was slowly going back to the roots of professional wrestling & what EXW is all about. After all, we actually had a tag team match...haven't seen that in quite some time. Plus an Xtreme Rules Match with the hottest Cruiserweights in EXW. But personally, the outcome of the show I was not fond of as a fan. Vacate the Heavyweight Title when you have a champion fans want to see get his ass kicked? Put the belt back on Derick Neikirk, only to vacate it? True, some folks will say that's a great idea...but personally, I don't like the idea. I know they're not booking for me & me alone...so that's why I am asking you readers, if you think vacating the title is a good idea, then speak up right now. Convince me!
Kyle Hawk's glow in the dark hair!
Derick removing the hat of Johnny Roxx revealed Roxx has the ears of a rat...thus making him the ultimate Ring Rat! This also gives me a feeling giving his history of Arizona wrestling & the recents posts regarding Toots of IZW Fame...Roxx is the Rat Watcher!
Highs:
Return of Shadow Fox...good to see him back from injury. He was a nice suprise in the Gauntlet. And had no sign of ring rust!
Pali Prince's promo. People don't realize, he is great on the mic. But now they know.
Josh Carey has been improving in tremendous strides over the weeks. When I saw that he & Bryce would be facing Gallo & Dom again, I seriously was going to say it was a low at first. We saw this before, only with Josh having a different partner & getting his ass handed to him. This time around, Josh was allowed to shine & show he can hang with veterans like Gallo & Dom. This was definetly a strong match!
Duel chants for Ryan Castellucci & Andrew Hellman....duel chants are always fun!
The spotfest ending of the Gautlet Match...everybody (Gallo, Wright, Tyson, Dom, Hellman, & Neikirk) using their finisher to continue the match on when we seriously thought it would end with Pali Prince dropping the belt.
Kyle Hawk's spot on the ladder looked devestating as he came over the top rope.
And Xtreme Rules Match as well as a Tag team match in the show...bringing the company back to it's proper roots.
Rocky & the Toothpick Guy was a strong opening Dark Match.
It's hard to determine a true stand out as Match of the Night, but the closest would honestly go to Josh Carey/Bryce the Dude versus Dom Vitalli/Gabriel Gallo.
Couple of sick looking chair shots in the Xtreme Rules $ Way had the crowd cringing....when you get the crowd cringing in any Xtreme-Style Match, you're doing something good! And there were multiple spots, not just including the chair for that matter!
Celebrating AJ's birthday! Happy birthday bro!
Chillin with the New Klick at my table. Mind ya, I wasn't properly introduced, but it was fun listening to those guys from DIW & I look forward to when I can attend a show.
Kyle Hawk's glow in the dark hair!
Derick announcing that he wouldn't be in the tournament. No offense, but many folks were tired of him with the belt...we don't need it again.
This was a very strong turn out. Having seen that many fans in a long time for TK's.
New faces in the ring, as well as faces we haven't seen in a while...such as Bryce the Dude, Jefe, Rocky, & Toothpick Guy (Devon?)
Lows:
Johnny Roxx tried to kiss me...I call sexual harasement on this one Roxx!
Again, no Rexx Reed.
No Mosh Pit Mike...the Gathering is over, get your asses back here Rexx & Mosh Pit!
The crowd was faily dead most of the night.
Gallo pinning Pali Prince in the Gauntlet scared me...he doesn't deserve the belt.
Pali Prince dropping the belt. Come on, you had a champion that everybody had legit hatred for with heel heat. And his actions in the Gauntlet made it even better. He scored a pin fall, then was dq'ed for using the belt, then counted out. Granted, a normal Gauntlet Match would end after the dq loss...but Pali Prince as champion was the best move possible. The fans were chanting against him because they don't like him, thus the term heel heat! If they didn't like him as champ because of other reasons, the crowd would have been dead.
What was the point of the music stand for Manson?
I'm confused by the 4 Way match...is Manson a heel now? Are we supposed to be booing him due to his actions?
Sadly, the 4 Way Xtreme Rules Match gets a low due to the very visible & multiple slip ups that could have severly injured somebody...and there were quite a few due to bad footing.
The crowd seemed really out of it towards the end of the Ryan/Hellman Match after being in it quite some time. Near falls are supposed to excite you...then again, these near falls were hard to be excited for due to the ref just not as into as he should.
I'm also confused on why Derick is Acting GM?
I been a big fan of Johnny Roxx for years, but this was his worst promo EVER!
Derick appeared back to downhill on his opening promo.
The Network beats the Business in their feud...yet we only see 1/2 the Netowkr (Tyson Tyler) in the Gauntlet Spotfest segment? And we see the Business continued to get pushed, but nothing from the Network?
Hellman/Castellucci was a match of "Why are they doing this?" momentum. It should have played on the history of their old fued since there was no true closure there.
Why do we really need to vacate the title after only 3 champions & the company been around for a year & a half?
For that matter, why don't we vacate the tag team championship since it hasn't even been defended since March? Did we forget the belts exist or did Gallo lose them while holding on to them?
Once again folks, "Sal is dead" is dead. He's still standing & onto a better gimmick!
Jefe didn't look as good as he did last time...then again, he was stuck wrestling Woody...who STILL has a lot to learn, himself!
Me low on cash...I was hungry & thirsty....plus I had to eye Will's nachos all night that looked good since he was filming & we were holding them.
Ray Basura/Cutler Wright wasn't even close to their first encounter for a strong match.
Derick officially winning the Gauntlet Match. We know he's good...technically, he isn't a man who needs a title to prove it! True, he vacated the belt...but until then, he was the winner of the match.
The Rocky fella looked like a mini-Rexx.
Octoberfist? Really? Who the hell thought of that name for October 28th?
