Special Edition written by yours truly thanks to Mr Guci missing most of the show due to Dom "The Bomb"'s attack on him. More on that in a minute.
Highs:
This show was an all day event for me, so I got to see more than most people. The training sessions by Mr DeMott and Val Venus we awesome to watch. Mr DeMott really is a funny guy.
There were a few pretty solid matches here. Tyson Tyler did an awesome job considering his injury (for those that didn't know he was injured, you don't wanna know what it was...it was that bad).
The addition of Cutler Wright to the Castellucci/Hellman match was awesome and really helped to offset Ryan's own injury.
RelliK noticing my old school REDRUM shirt before the show and stating that he was happy to see the old school fans there (referring to myself and Toom).
Lows:
Here we go, and to those involved, I mean no disrespect here:
First things first: The show ran waaaaayyy too long. We didn't get out of there til after 11pm and the show started at 7.
The cheap seats were more comfortable than the ringside seats. I had to move up into the stadium seating area halfway through the show because my back hurt so much.
Dom's attack on Mr Guci because he didn't like being called a crybaby. Dom pulled Toom over the barrier, beat him while he was on the ground and choked him with the baby blanket that Toom brought to taunt him with. Then Dom turned around and swung at me only missing me by a fraction of an inch when I was telling him he sucked for doing that. Also the absence of AJ and the second EMT was noticed. Chris and the other EMT could only do so much.
Prophet wasn't up to par for his match against RelliK. Too many blown spots due to him being tired from participating in the training sessions before the show. RelliK had to work hard to sell the weak kicks..
No Chuey Martinez vs Khan Kussion Xtreme Rules match, instead it was a tag match with Chuey and Khan were teamed together against Cedric The Hitman and Rex Reed. It was cool that the later two got some ring time but come on a lot of people wanted that Xtreme Rules match.
The Heel vs Face ratio was really off last night. Heels won 7 of the 8 matches. The only faces to win were Chuey and Khan.
Fans throwing items in the ring during the matches even after the announcement explaining the potential risks involved for the talent was made. On a side note the freaking horns...what was this a soccer match?
I'm not so sure it was a good idea for Frenchie and Gallo to go up into the seats like they did, it showed how empty the place was. Speaking of which, boo on the local advertisers who dropped the ball on the show. I heard plenty of parents state there would have been a better turnout if the ads ran at better times so more parents and kids knew about the show.
The end of the Niekirk/Venus match was bad. The placing of the table being the cause of this since only Val's legs went through it.
